Songs of the Universe

In our search for personal and corporate privacy, we evaluated many methods of encryption. Many were good, some better than others. But all seemed to have one weak link in common: the Pseudo-Random Number Generator. We deemed this to not be too good.

One evening while he was re-reading a well worn copy of Neal Stephenson's book 'Cryptonomicon' and watching the SETI screen saver crunching away on the computers, it occurred to Will, aka Will The Geek, that the universe was full of perfectly good random data. Why not use it?

So he got together with friends, computer professionals, and associates around the world and brought together the necessary hardware and software. The idea was to produce a solid and secure encryption system using completely random noise generated by Mother Nature and based on the most effective encryption system ever devised: the One-Time Pad. The result was Songs of the Universe.

Songs of the Universe goes on-line. The first encryption program to combine the power of One-Time Pads with the speed of streaming ciphers and totally random keys to produce one of the strongest encryption systems ever!
