Limitations on using Songs of the Universe
Encryptor / Decryptor
Songs of the Universe is a strong encryption software solution designed
for maximum protection at the Internet, network, computer and hard
drive levels. It is a Private Key system, which is considered much
more secure and definitely faster than Public Key systems.
Because of SOTU's ability to encrypt and decrypt far beyond the
current 128 bits considered safe for financial transactions and
Internet security - it is actually stronger than the system used
by the US military - it falls under the US Government's export restrictions.
Never mind that some of the product was developed outside the US.
Even though we can import it, we are not allowed to send it back
to the countries it came from because they might be able to use
it against us.
We are sure that in and around Washington DC that this makes some
sort of sense, but so far it has defied decryption even by Songs
of the Universe.
At any rate therefore, we must limit shipment to those who can show
US addresses. But then again, if you can't get around that one,
you are too stupid to be a security threat anyway.
Further, we are also limited by what is known as 'know your customer'
rules. So we must also ask that you not purchase these products
if you are a terrorist, subversive agent, spook, operative or agent
for a foreign government, prisoner, resident of a mental institution
or certain middle eastern countries (Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North
Korea, Sudan and Syria, etc.), member of any extremist or hate group
seeking to subvert the intent of the Constitution of the United
States, (KKK, Neo-Nazis, Jihad, Congress, etc.), intend to use the
product for any criminal activity, or have any plans whatsoever
for taking over the world, George.
Encryption Keys
The One-Time Pad Key Libraries used by Songs of the Universe were
derived from the one-time pad concept, which destroyed the key after
each use. This means that each message or file has to be deciphered
individually, and even if cracked will not compromise the whole
system.
We added further complexity by using Mother Nature to develop the
keys, thus eliminating the possibility that someone might be able
to duplicate the key generation scheme. Much of the key data comes
from radio telescopes around the world that listen in on various
radio frequencies and use the information to map the universe, analyze
galactic structure or even search for extra-terrestrial intelligence.
We also use radioactive decay from various labs as well as thermal
noise from our own proprietary equipment. This assures that the
data is completely random. However, just in case, it is scanned
and analyzed for randomness to be sure that there are no phone calls
from ET or accidental patterns that might show up.
We are still a bit hazy on whether or not this falls into the export
restrictions area. We would agree that Arcturus, Rigel, the Milky
Way, and the Orion Nebula are outside US jurisdiction, at least
for now, but we are not too sure if they are classified as 'foreign
entities'. But since we are not actually sending the data back to
them, we feel pretty secure.
We would also agree that our random noise is far superior to 'their'
random noise, but are not sure this is grounds for not being able
to export it. If you are an attorney/solicitor with expertise in
this area, perhaps you could advise us - free of charge, of course.
